Senior Contracts Manager - Oct 2011 *NEW*
We are currently seeking suitably qualified senior contracts managers to join our rapidly expanding operations in Leeds and London.
As a contracts manager you will help to win contracts, and manage projects through to completion, keeping them on time and within budget. Contracts could include all types of traffic management and traffic signals works including traffic management for events.You might also be responsible for a single large contract or a number of smaller ones. You would also be the main point of contact for clients, site managers and building contractors throughout the project.
Your main responsibilities would include:- meeting with clients to get a fuller idea of their needs
- putting together estimates, including budgets and timescales
- preparing and presenting documents for tenders
- contributing to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors and suppliers
- agreeing any additional work to be done within set timescales
- gathering all information together for invoicing during the course of the project
- supplying information to resolve disputes if they arise
- identifying areas for improvement in existing contracting processes
You would work closely with other construction professionals including construction managers, quantity surveyors and planning engineers.

Sector Scheme 12D Operatives & Registered Lead Traffic Management Operative's (RLTMO)
We are seeking suitably qualified 12D Operatives & RLTMO's in the South West, South East (Hayes - London) & M62 Corridor regions of the UK to join our rapidly expanding network of 12D operations throughout the UK. The successful candidates will have at least one of the following qualifications:
MWO - Operatives carrying out moving works (works of 10 minutes duration or less) on single carriageways not requiring positive traffic control.
RTMO - Operatives required to work on single carriageway roads.
- RTMO (M3) – Operatives required to work on Dual Carriageway roads restricted to 40mph or less.
- RTMO (M4) – Operatives required to carry out Convoy Works.
- RTMO (M5) – Multi Phase Signals.
The successful candidates MUST:
- Have a working knowledge of National Highway Sector Schemes.
- Realise the importance and relevance of health & safety at work.
- Have a working knowledge of the relevant codes of practice and other associated documentation when involved in traffic management.
- Provide evidence that they understand the differences between Chapter 8 and the Safety at Street Works and Road Works (red book) and how these apply.
- Understand the risk assessment process and be able to carry out risk assessments & method statements on works involving traffic management.
- Be able to demonstrate their knowledge of their Supervisory responsibilities.
- Have the ability to assess the suitability of equipment for the use on the highway.
- Be able to monitor site and recommend action as conditions change.
- Be able to ascertain when management intervention is required.
Sector Scheme 12A/B Foremen
We are seeking suitably qualified foremen in the South West, South East & M62 Corridor regions of the UK to join our rapidly expanding network of operations throughout the UK. The successful candidates MUST be able to:
- work out the traffic management layout required to give access to a given works area
- work out distances for traffic management equipment
- calculate equipment requirements
- assess acceptable equipment standards
